Tips for Planning a Wedding in Pilanesberg

When planning your wedding ceremony, keep the following in mind:

1. Number of guests should match size of lodge
2. A ceremony at the lodge rather than in the bush may be better for your guests with mobility issues, older family or young children
3. The weather and season may influence whether your reception is in the boma, at the swimming pool or in the lodge dining area
4. Elements like flowers, photographer, videographer and DJ are generally arranged by the bridal party
5. Lodges may provide standard décor and you provide and arrange any ‘extras’ yourself
6. The bar service can be cash (guests pay), tab (bridal party pays) or a combination (tab to a certain point after which cash)
7. Child minders may be employed to look after young children
8. Consider whether you want to book the whole lodge on an exclusive-use basis (no other guests except you, your friends and your family)
