Pilanesberg is approximately an easy two-hour drive or 40-minute flight from Johannesburg and is completely malaria free, making it South Africa’s most accessible Big 5 national park.It is very popular with delegates from South Africa, neighbouring countries and even the rest of the world who want an affordable safari experience coupled with their conference. There is no need for delegates to take anti-malaria medication if they are visiting only Pilanesberg and OR Tambo International Airport.

You can expect up-to-date conference equipment including audio-visual technology and high-speed Internet. Rooms range in size with some lodges offering areas that can be split in two or opened up to form a single very large space. Pilanesberg’s warm winter dry season runs from about May to September. This coincides with peak safari. The park’s summer rainy season runs between about October and April, which coincides with low safari season. Please note that Pilanesberg is very popular offer all the South African school holidays (especially Easter, July and Christmas) and over South African public holidays and long weekends.
